Everything I Crocheted In January 2024

Beginning of this year I decided to start a new series on my YouTube channel called "Everything I Crocheted In...". If you are a part of crochet/knitting community online, you might have seen videos like this, where creator shows off their makes. I find them inspiring and love to watch them while I crochet.

Videos like this not only give me future projects ideas but also motivate me to keep going, especially if my mind wanders off to other things I'd like to make. Having too many WIPs can be overwhelming, so I try to avoid doing that.

I finished January with one WIP - c2c sports car blanket. I have to admit that I'm taking my sweet time with this project as my deadline is in December this year 🙃 If you are curious what pattern I use to make this c2c blanket, you can check it out here

The rest of my makes are smaller crochet projects - I started 2024 with unicorn amigurumi using one of crochet kits that I got a long time ago. I also crocheted a flamingo sitting on a water lily.

Another amigurumi I made is a dachshund from 'Dumpling Pups' by Sarah Sloyer. I recently published a video about this book. If you are interested, you can check out video below.

I would consider January to be very productive for me. Even though I have not crocheted many things, I'm halfway done with c2c blanket. For me round ups like this are not about making many things as fast as possible but enjoying my hobby and seeing my makes over time. I definitely go through fazes in my crochet journey, so videos are helpful to see what I made and what inspired me to do it.

How was your January? Was it a productive month for you? What did you make? Let me know!
